Automotive supplier is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor for their manufacturing facility.  The company supplies to the automotive industry and is diverse in their customer base. The Maintenance Supervisor will report to the Engineering Manager and have up to 8-12 direct maintenance reports. The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for the overall day-to-day maintenance and troubleshooting of equipment in their primary area and the rest of the plant during their assigned shift.  Responsibilities include:
  • Managing off-shift maintenance staff
  • Overseeing equipment troubleshooting and preventative maintenance
  • Minimizing downtime in order to meet production goals
  • Completing project management of maintenance and continuous improvement activities
  • Processing daily, weekly and monthly paperwork
  • Additional responsibilities as delegated by the manager
This position requires candidates to be on the floor up to 80% of their day.  Candidates should enjoy partnering with production and engineering to troubleshoot equipment.  The company is focused on continuous improvement; candidates should be focused on scrap reduction and efficiency improvement for their delegated area.  Candidates should be energetic, have the ability to coach and mentor others and be able to take ownership of projects.   This is a salaried position with paid overtime.  Benefits are competitive, including medical, dental, 401K, life, paid holidays and vacation.

Requirements for the Maintenance Supervisor:
1. High School Diploma 
2. At least 3-5 years' experience in a similar manufacturing maintenance supervisor role 
3. Experience overseeing others
4. Mechanical troubleshooting (including gears, pneumatics, motors and/or transmissions, etc.)
5. Electrical troubleshooting (including sensors, servos, lasers, vision systems, etc.)
6. Willing to work 12-hour off shifts
7. Microsoft Office  
 
Skills that are preferred, BUT NOT required:
1. Lean or Six Sigma certifications
2. Automotive supplier or OEM experience
3. Union exposure
4. PLC and/or robotics experience
