Automotive supplier is seeking a Manufacturing Maintenance Manager for their manufacturing facility.  The company supplies to the automotive industry and is diverse in their customer base. The Manufacturing Maintenance Manager will report to the Head of Engineering and Maintenance. The Manufacturing Maintenance Manager is responsible for the strategic management and planning of the maintenance department.  Responsibilities include:
  • Managing the resource allocation of the plant
  • Training, coaching, hiring and developing current maintenance staff
  • Planning and coordinating any shut down activities
  • Determining maintenance department initiatives
  • Managing and leading departmental maintenance projects
  • Ensuring that mechanical and electrical troubleshooting is completed in a timely manner in order to ensure the reduction of plant downtime
  • Additional responsibilities as delegated by the manager
This position requires candidates to be on the floor up to 50% of their day.  The company is focused on maintaining a safe work environment while focusing on continuous improvement.  This is a salaried position on day shift.  Benefits are competitive, including medical, dental, 401K, life, paid holidays and vacation.

Requirements for the Manufacturing Maintenance Manager:
1. A bachelor’s degree is highly preferred, but not required
2. At least 3-5 years of experience in a similar manufacturing maintenance management role 
3. Experience overseeing others
4. Mechanical troubleshooting (including gears, pneumatics, motors and/or transmissions, etc.)
5. Electrical troubleshooting (including sensors, servos, lasers, vision systems, etc.)
6. Project management
7. Microsoft Office  
Skills that are preferred, BUT NOT required:
1. Lean or Six Sigma certifications
2. Automotive supplier or OEM experience
3. PLC and/or robotics experience 

Candidates are preferred to be local to the Mansfield, Ohio area; regional relocation is available for candidates holding all of the required skill sets.
